In anticipation of relocating my sewing studio to the basement, I have been having fun planning what it might look like. The walls are painted a creamy yellow so there are lots of accent colors I can choose from.
For a while is was thinking blue, white and yellow. I just love that combo–I think it is because this was the color scheme of a condo by parents had at the Lake. We had so many fun family times there that those colors naturally made me smile.
I then thought about black, white and yellow–maybe a French Toile? A little on the traditional side.
But I wanted to do something a little more fun and different from our house. I found this fabric and was sold!
I can pull in the red, aqua and maybe even the green. Because this fabric is about a year old, I had to search a few sites to get enough. The fat quarters I just picked up at a quilt show this weekend. The aqua and white chevron is from Hobby Lobby.
Whew! Picking the colors is always so tough–as if I can’t ever change it! Of course I can, but once I do something I want to cross it off my to-do list and not revisit. Done and done!
